BMW CAS Module Repair
Key not recognised, car won’t start, or CAS and steering lock faults on the scan tool? We repair the BMW CAS module.
About this service
The CAS (Car Access System) is the BMW control unit that recognises your key, works with the immobiliser and allows the engine to start. On many BMWs it also controls the electric steering lock (ELV).
When the CAS module develops a fault, the car may not recognise the key, the engine may not start, or the steering lock may stay locked. We read the fault codes first, then repair the CAS module.
What we do
- BMW CAS module diagnosis and repair
- CAS faults linked to the electric steering lock (ELV)
- Engine start and key recognition faults
- Fault code reading

Signs you may need this
Not sure? WhatsApp us the fault code and we’ll tell you.
Key not recognised
The car does not detect the key, or shows a key or immobiliser message.
Engine won’t start
The starter does not turn, or the engine does not crank.
Steering lock problems
The steering stays locked, or a steering lock message appears.
CAS fault codes
A scan shows CAS codes such as “ELV Fault”, “Processor” or “Engine Start, Starter Operation”.
